a Sears catalog from ‘97

and I picked out some sweaters

chunky ones

soft ones

and I cut the pictures out

put them on my walls

while I wait by the door

see

without these sweaters

I can’t do anything

I can’t eat

I can’t sleep

I can’t do anything

now sure

people tell me life goes on

don’t worry about the sweaters

but I know

I know they’re going to be

everything
