I knew a woman in texas
with dark eyeliner
and black hair.
I met her at the gym
watched her an hour
walking and sighing
and sweating.
I splashed my face with water
and wet my shirt
somehow we’re similar
I’m sure.

I got her number
tried to pass out before
we met up.
