why is our house made out of plastic

cheap bits 

i roll a cigarette

talk to me on the porch

the wood has splintered

nobody has painted it

a birdhouse was supposed to help

we should take it down

empty always

we painted it bright red

then we moved to michigan

came back

but never left michigan

still there

the winter is worse here
