306 or Green Fabric (rough)

he lifted her when she came back. she was some dark green fabric he sheared to make a home among his possessions. he said this is how I feel and I hope you stay with me. and it’s okay you left, I understand why you left. that’s something I can’t stand but I’m all right with it. well how can I call you your name when I don’t know how to pronounce it anymore? I gave up your syllables and rise and fall for some other salve. I’m grinning like an idiot now that you’re back. do you still have another home? are you here with the birds? I found them perched on the rail of my porch this morning. they leave their feathers when I go outside, little blue feathers sticking up in the crevices of my porch. you can tell me, I won’t mind, I just need to know. I’d build you a home if that’s what you want. It doesn’t even have to be near me. I know it’s too much, you’re right, it’s too much. Leave me a note, would you? I traced your letters in your name while you were gone and each time I thought I heard you knocking on the screen door.
