I think of that poem by Cummings
I heard someone recite on television.
It’s euphoria at first when your legs move
then a sigh and rubbing of the eyes.
What’s decay in a model home?
Swap out the appliances and dye your hair,
because life is easier when it’s changeable.
I thought about a condo on the coast,
I thought about everything I never owned,
I thought about the time you read Cummings to me.
